Senate has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to address the Nation on the dreaded COVID-19 in the country and to set up a special Intervention fund for tackling the scourge.
This followed a motion by Senator Danjuma Goje which also urged the federal Government to urgently establish testing centres in all the states of the federation.
The Senate also advised Federal Government to shut down all Airports in the country except Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja and Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos for easy monitoring while all Nigerians coming into the country from high risk countries be quarantined by government against the initial self quarantine.
Senate also canvassed Tighter border control and for Governments at all levels to immediately embark on sensitiization.
