CHIEF OF STAFF TO PRESIDENT, ABBA KYARI, PASSES ON

The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari. The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. HOUSE SEEKS 2-MONTHS FREE POWER SUPPLY FOR NIGERIANS

THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IS TO CONSIDER ANOTHER ECONOMIC STIMULUS BILL THAT WILL ENSURE THAT NIGERIANS GET FREE SUPPLY OF ELECTRICITY FOR TWO MONTHS TO MITIGATE THE EFFECTS OF COVID-19 ON THE ECONOMY. THIS CAME TO LIGHT DURING A MEETING BETWEEN LEADERSHIP OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, THE MINISTER OF FINANCE AND DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE BUDGET OFFICE. THE SPEAKER FEMI GBAJABIAMILA  SAID THE PROPOSED BILL WILL BE CONSIDERED IMMEDIATELY THE HOUSE RECONVENES FROM THE ONGOING BREAK WHICH WAS DECLARED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. GBAJABIAMILA SAYS ELECTRICITY IS A COMMODITY CONSUMED BY EVERY HOUSEHOLD, AND USING IT TO BOOST THE INFORMAL SECTOR, UNDER WHICH MOST NIGERIANS OPERATE, IS ESSENTIAL IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC. Press release PPPRA announced new petrol pump price for the month of April

in line with the Government approval for a monthly review of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) pump price, PETROLEUM PRODUCTS PRICING REGULATORY AGENCY (PPPRA) has announced a  PMS pump price of N123.50 per Litre. The price which becomes effective 1st April 2020, shall apply at all retail outlets nationwide for the month of April, 2020. A statement Signed By Abdulkadir Saidu Executive Secretary Said PPPRA and other relevant regulatory Agencies shall continue to monitor compliance to extant regulations for a sustainable downstream petroleum sector. Members of the Public and all Oil Marketing Companies are to be guided accordingly.
